Frequently asked questions.
What types of psychological evaluations do you offer?
I provide comprehensive psychological assessments for ADHD, autism, learning differences, mood concerns, anxiety, and more. Each evaluation is tailored to the individual’s needs and may include interviews, rating scales, and cognitive or academic testing.
What can I expect from the evaluation process?
The evaluation process typically includes an intake interview, testing sessions (in person or virtual depending on the need), scoring and interpretation, and an optional feedback session where you’ll receive a written report and personalized recommendations.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement depending on your plan. I recommend calling your insurance provider to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits.
How do I know if I need an evaluation?
If you're experiencing difficulties with focus, learning, memory, emotional regulation, or behavioral changes—or if you're seeking clarity around a possible diagnosis—an evaluation can offer valuable insight and next steps.
Can we meet before I schedule an evaluation?
Yes! I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you determine whether my services are the right fit. During this time, I can answer general questions about the process and help you decide what type of appointment you may need.
Are services available for children, teens, or adults?
Yes, I offer evaluations for individuals across the lifespan—including school-aged children, adolescents, and adults.
What makes your practice different?
As an Angolan-American clinician, I bring a culturally attuned lens to my work. I’m especially committed to supporting Black, POC, and minority communities with thoughtful, affirming, and intersectional care. I also integrate wellness-focused services that go beyond diagnosis to help promote balance and growth.
Do you offer therapy or only evaluations?
At this time, I primarily focus on psychological evaluations and wellness-based offerings (such as workshops, events, and guided sessions). If you're looking for therapy, I’m happy to provide referrals based on your needs.
Do you work with schools, attorneys, or other professionals?
Yes. I collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and legal professionals to ensure reports are comprehensive and useful. If you need documentation for accommodations, IEP/504 plans, or other services, I can help guide the process.
Where are you located, and do you offer virtual services?
I’m based in Texas and offer both in-person and virtual assessment options, depending on the evaluation type and age of the client. Some assessments can be conducted remotely with clinical accuracy and convenience.
